Laser cutting and plasma cutting

Laser cutting is commonly used for repeatable profiles in sheet and plate, including brackets, panels, guards, base plates, flanges and fabrication blanks. A clean DXF supported by a dimensioned PDF gives the best starting point. Material grade, thickness, quantity, small features, cut-edge expectation and any protective film should be stated. Plasma cutting can be a commercially effective option for thicker, robust profiles where its edge character and achievable tolerance are suitable. The route is selected against the job rather than on process name alone.

Machining, forging and heat treatment

Machining is used where a component needs controlled faces, diameters, bores, threads, slots or other precision features. It can be the main production process or a secondary stage after cutting, forging or fabrication.
